1979 scimitar get, runs really well of a petrol can, water pump sounds really bad showing only 72000 which I would say is genuine as the numbers line up ! Interior is complete and in good condition no rips but there is a little mold, car is fairly solid but obviously needs work, very good project for someone kit car hotrod project maybe? We are selling this Reliant based Tempest Vantique. This vehicle was previously owned by Reliant Parts World as their works van / mobile advertising. It was the last Vantique that was ever built. I believe only 11 of these were ever made. It was registered 1st August 1990, MOT??d till 12th May 2025. It??s done 62684 miles. Last weekend I drove it 128 miles and it was faultless. Runs and drive as it should. Just had the carb fully rebuilt. New ignition system (rotor, cap, HT leads, spark plugs, and electronic ignition fitted, new thermostat.
Exterior has been resprayed 20 years ago in Rover midnight fire red. Some of the clear coat is peaking mostly on the front end. And the roof paint has been damaged in the past, apparently to prepare to fit a vinyl roof?? it never been done and I have been using the car as it is. ... more
