1979 scimitar get, runs really well of a petrol can, water pump sounds really bad showing only 72000 which I would say is genuine as the numbers line up ! Interior is complete and in good condition no rips but there is a little mold, car is fairly solid but obviously needs work, very good project for someone kit car hotrod project maybe? Runs and drive as it should. Just had the carb fully rebuilt. New ignition system (rotor, cap, HT leads, spark plugs, and electronic ignition fitted, new thermostat.
Exterior has been resprayed 20 years ago in Rover midnight fire red. Some of the clear coat is peaking mostly on the front end. And the roof paint has been damaged in the past, apparently to prepare to fit a vinyl roof?? it never been done and I have been using the car as it is. ... more
